【Eurasia Times, Nanchang/Reporter Wang Zilong】On October 20, the 2026 Jiangxi tour for overseas Chinese media publishers, editors-in-chief and influencer bloggers visited Honggutan District in Nanchang, conducting interviews and exchanges on the digital economy and government services, and holding an international communication exchange session.
Honggutan District lies on the west bank of the Ganjiang River and is the administrative, financial, business, cultural and innovation center of the province. It has been named one of the country’s top 100 districts for investment competitiveness and one of the top 100 for overall competitiveness in central China. In recent years, Honggutan has anchored itself to the development goal of “raising the primacy of the capital city and its core district and striving to be a leading front-runner of the provincial capital,” deepening the strategy of capital-led development and working to build a “digital-intelligence-led capital district.” Honggutan took the “first shot” in global city-level VR development, is the permanent home of the World VR Industry Conference, built the country’s first national virtual-reality manufacturing innovation center, and is an important gathering place for the national virtual-reality industry and the province’s digital economy.
To understand Honggutan’s digital industry ecosystem in depth, the group visited the Huigu Industrial Park. Begun in 2008, the park centers on the digital economy and technology companies and aims to build a comprehensive industrial ecosystem combining startup incubation, industry acceleration, R&D offices and enterprise services. It now hosts 135 companies, nine of them above-scale enterprises, forming a healthy pattern in which digital industries develop in coordination and innovation factors link up efficiently.

At the park’s “one-stop public service hall,” group members paused to ask about the procedure for companies to move in and the details of applying for policy support, and were impressed that the park bundles more than 40 services in nine major categories — business registration, tax registration and intellectual property protection among them — into a convenient “no need to leave the park” experience.
The group watches a robot performance at the Qingyuan Hongzhi AI Education Science and Technology Museum
Entering the Qingyuan Hongzhi AI Education Science and Technology Museum, Jiangxi Province’s first panoramic, immersive artificial-intelligence education museum, brightened the eyes of group members. Dance and tai chi performances by humanoid robots were the first to “welcome guests,” drawing waves of laughter. The venue was invested in and built by Nanchang Qingyuan Hongzhi Technology Development Co., Ltd. and formally opened to the public on April 22, 2026. It brings together leading industry technology resources such as Unitree, BrainCo and Shanghai Whale Robotics, and, centered on being “immersive, interactive and experiential,” builds a four-in-one education ecosystem of “play, learn, compete and research,” filling a gap in the province for a high-end AI study-and-research complex.
The group immerses itself in the charm of technology
In the experience zone, projects such as brain-controlled racing, mind-powered speed racing, AI chess matches and motion-sensing interactive floor tiles make human-machine dialogue visible and tangible. Group members tried them one after another, feeling in contests of focus and reaction the vivid touch of cutting-edge technology moving from display cases into everyday life.
In the afternoon, the group visited Honggutan’s Citizens’ Center in person and experienced government-service innovations such as “certificate-free processing,” “Dingding order-grabbing” and “e-Jian assisted handling.” It is understood that in August 2021 Honggutan’s pioneering “certificate-free processing” model was replicated across the province: relying on “blockchain + electronic certificates” technology, people need not carry paper documents and can retrieve electronic certificates with a “face scan” to complete procedures; in October 2023, Nanchang’s first “government-service smart navigation map” went online in Honggutan.

Drawing on the platform economy’s “instant order-grabbing” idea, in June 2023 Honggutan pioneered the “Dingding order-grabbing” management model in the province, turning counter staff’s mindset from “make me serve” to “I want to serve”; it has now iterated to version 3.0, adds AI prediction, and has been replicated in more than 40 cities, counties and districts across the province. “e-Jian assisted handling” is the province’s first digital assisted-and-proxy service brand, built by Honggutan: offline it sets up a three-tier “1+9+N” assistance system with 306 service points, and online it opens 31 “cloud window” seats and has launched the “Xiao Ganshi” digital human for 24-hour service that never closes, having served more than 50,000 people so far. From “people running errands” to “data running errands,” from “people looking for policies” to “policies looking for people,” one innovative practice after another, each carrying the warmth of reform, gave group members a real sense of the governance effectiveness of this young district.
That day, the international communication exchange session of the 2026 Jiangxi tour for overseas Chinese media publishers, editors-in-chief and influencer bloggers was held at the Honggutan Citizens’ Center. Senior figures from overseas Chinese media and influencer bloggers gathered with representatives of Honggutan’s relevant units to exchange views on how to tell China’s story and spread Jiangxi’s voice well.
The international communication exchange session
The atmosphere was lively, sparks of ideas flew continuously, and the sharp minds of Chinese-language media and influencer bloggers came together, using their keenest media instincts and “traffic codes” to “offer clever ideas and produce hit content” for the international communication of Jiangxi and Honggutan. Everyone said they would play the bridging role of overseas Chinese media and influencer bloggers, passing on the digital innovation vitality and urban development they saw in Honggutan to more overseas audiences.
